The agent writes into the Canvas beside the conversation: prose, a page, a slide deck or a spreadsheet. When it is right, it leaves as a PDF, a Word file, a PowerPoint deck or an Excel workbook, and it opens as one.

A deck that opens in PowerPoint as text.
Each slide’s title and bullets are real text boxes, not a picture of the slide, so you can open the file and fix a word. A deck nobody can edit is a PDF with extra steps.
The PPTX is written directly in Rust: a .pptx is a zip of XML, and the zip library was already in the app. The file lands in the project’s exports folder and never over an existing one.

The XLSX keeps live formulas, a chart Excel redraws when a figure changes, and highlight rules. You and the agent type into the same grid through the same command.
Every formula is checked against a list of 78 functions, so a pasted WEBSERVICE or HYPERLINK cannot make the file reach out when somebody opens it.

Every change is a new version.
Nothing overwrites a version. Pick any two and read the words that moved, green in, red out. Going back is a rollback that becomes the newest version, so the one you left is still there.
The agent can replace one heading or one slide without handing back the whole document, and a rewrite made from a version somebody has since changed is refused.

The design playbook: as many as you ask for.
The design playbook loads by /design, with an attached picture or Taste item, or when the judge reads the request as design. It makes what you asked for, and options only when you ask for options. Tweaks turns the page’s colors, type and spacing into controls, and Apply saves each change as a version.
Contrast is measured to WCAG 2.1 by the app, not guessed by the model. Live preview runs the page’s own scripts so tabs and hovers work, and even there it cannot fetch anything.

Carousels are decks cut for a phone.
A built-in skill makes a deck at 4:5, 1:1 or 9:16. The PDF is one page per slide, which LinkedIn takes as a document post, and the PPTX is the same size.
There is no export of one picture per slide yet, so Instagram needs the images made another way.

An HTML page is refused for DOCX and PPTX, with PDF named as the format that keeps its layout. A lossy export that looks like it worked is worse than a refusal that tells you what to use instead. How the Canvas is sealed.

Can VectorBrain make Word, PowerPoint and Excel files?
Yes. A document in the Canvas exports as DOCX, PPTX or XLSX, and as PDF. The files are written by the app itself in Rust rather than by a converter service, and they land in the project’s exports folder on your disk.
Are the PowerPoint slides editable, or pictures?
Editable. Each slide’s title and bullets are text in real PowerPoint placeholders, so you can change a word in PowerPoint. What that gives up is pixel-exact layout for rich designs; for that, export the deck as PDF, which prints it exactly as the Canvas shows it.
Do spreadsheet formulas survive into Excel?
Yes. The XLSX carries the formulas themselves, the styles, merges, filter and highlight rules, and charts whose series point at the sheet’s own cells, so Excel and LibreOffice recalculate and redraw them when a figure changes.
Why can a sheet not use every Excel function?
A sheet can carry figures copied off a stranger’s page, and functions such as WEBSERVICE and HYPERLINK, DDE and references into other workbooks are how a cell reaches outside the file when somebody opens it. Why will it not export an HTML page to Word?
Because Word would get a lossy copy that looks like it worked. DOCX is translated from markdown structure, headings, lists and tables, and an HTML page is refused with PDF named as the format that keeps its layout exactly.
What happens if the agent rewrites a document badly?
Nothing is lost. Every change appends a version, so a rollback brings an earlier one back as the newest. The Changes view compares any two versions word by word, and a rewrite based on a version somebody has since changed is refused rather than written over it.
Can a document the agent made run code on my machine?
Not in the Canvas. Documents render in a frame with an empty sandbox and no network, so scripts do not run and nothing loads. The Canvas’s Live preview does run a page’s scripts, so tabs and hovers work, but it has an opaque origin and a policy that allows nothing to be fetched. How the Canvas is sealed
Can it make an Instagram carousel?
It makes the carousel as a deck at 4:5, 1:1 or 9:16, and the PDF gives one page per slide, which LinkedIn accepts as a document post. There is no export of one image per slide yet, so an Instagram post needs its images made another way.
Does PDF export work on Mac?
Not yet. PDF export uses the built-in webview’s print, which is WebView2 on Windows today. DOCX, PPTX and XLSX are written by the app itself and do not depend on it. What runs where
